Problems Encountered
"We can make capital out of disaster"
One night in 1914, Edison's factory complex of 10 plants caught on fire. He watched as the buildings and all his work burned down. However, he did not give up and the next day he went to work to start rebuilding.
"Even though I am nearly deaf, I seem to be gifted with a kind of inner hearing which enables me to detect sounds and noises that the listeners do not perceive."
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."
In his life Edison faced many challenges when he was inventing especially when he was creating the lightbulb. However, he never gave up and continued to work through his problems.
At a young age he had scarlet fever which caused him to be deaf in one ear. As a result, he faced many challenges in his life because he had trouble hearing.
